Terms and conditions for Cornish Cruising
General
1. Before booking, please satisfy yourself that you have been given adequate guidance as to the suitability
of the course you are attending or the charter Vessel for are Chartering. If in any doubt please contact us.
2. The minimum age for all courses is 16, unless specifically agreed with the school at the time of
booking.
3. Whilst on board the decision of the Professional Skipper / Instructor is final.
Payments
4. A deposit of 25% per person for Courses or £300.00 for a charter is required at the time of the booking.
5. Settlement must be made six weeks before the commencement of the course/ Charter; otherwise we reserve
the right to re‐sell the course / Charter.
6. If you book by telephone you are fully liable for the amounts whether you confirm in writing or not. We
cannot accept provisional bookings.
Cancellations
7. The deposit is not returnable in the event of cancellation.
8. If we are unable to carry out the course or Charter, we will refund the deposit or if applicable the full fee and our liability will cease forthwith.
9. If you have to cancel for any reason, prior to six weeks before the start date, we will refund any money
paid, less the deposit.
10. If you have to cancel within six weeks of the start of the course we will make every effort to re‐sell your
place / Charter Booking, but you remain liable for the full amount. If we succeed in filling your place or re-selling the charter vessel for the specified time, we will refund the fee received for that place or Charter less your deposit.
Insurance
11. Cornish Cruising Sail Training and Cornish Cruising Ltd and its employees are not under any liability
whatsoever in respect of personal injury, loss or damage to effects howsoever caused, whilst attending
a course or Charter.
12. We strongly recommend you take out Travel Insurance to cover loss of gear, medical expenses,
cancellation etc.
