1 Day First Aid Course
In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers of yacht and motor vessels. It fulfils the requirements for skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven. The course is RYA, MCA and HSE approved.

First Aid At Work

The aim of the course is to enable the student to effectively record accidents and incidents; perform life saving techniques; use and maintainn a first aid kit; have an understanding of H&S at work regulations

The course is over three days and is tailored to your specific workplace and features legal requirements and implications of First Aid; resuscitation and CPR; serious bleeding, wounds and shock management; breaks and fractures; illnesses including epilspsy, diabetes, poisoning and asthma.

Upon successful completion individuals will be awarded with a certificate, which is valid for three years.

A two day update course is available to students who hold a current HSE First Aid at Work qualification and are confident in their First Aid skills.

Automatic External Defibrillation Course (AED)
This Defib Course gives those people who have the responsibility for using a Defib the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to use this potentially lifesaving piece of equipment. The Defib Course is run over 3 - 4 hours and covers the recommended syllabus laid down by the Resuscitation Council U.K.

Our aim at Good Skills Training is that all learners should enjoy their Defib Course and that by the end of their course all delegates should be safe, prompt, effective and confident AED users.
